The Sexual Revolution Got It WRONG

The Problems with Birth Control
Grace Emily Stark is the editor-in-chief of Natural Womanhood, a non-profit organization which teaches fertility awareness and the dangers of birth control.
"We provide information that's hard to get from Big Pharma, Planned Parenthood, or the CDC," Stark says. This includes the myriad of birth control's side effects, including depression, mood swings, weight gain, migraines, low libido, blood clots, and breast and cervical cancer.
"We have really good data from the University of Copenhagen that birth control does absolutely increase adolescent risk for depression, anxiety, and suicidality. We know that. There's no beating around the bush about it any more. We know it increases depression and anxiety in older women as well, but the risk is much worse for adolescents."
Stark draws the connection between birth control use and the prevalence of teen depression. "It's not exaggerating to call it a mental health crisis. We're putting teen girls on these pills or IUDs and pumping them full of synthetic hormones that affect their brains as they're developing."
Blood clots are also a serious risk, Stark says, leading to teenage girls dying without their parents even knowing they were on birth control until the autopsy.
Minors can easily find ways of getting contraception, sometimes by having it mailed to them from out of state. In some places, they can get birth control from a pharmacist without a prescription, and soon they'll be able to get pills over the counter.
The solution, Stark says, is to talk with your daughter about the harms of birth control and to instead teach fertility awareness.
Natural Womanhood has a Mothers of Preteens online body literacy course for mothers to help their daughters understand their cycles. There are also "Cycle Mindfulness" clubs for women on college campuses.
"So many women are starved for an alternative to birth control, but they don't know it exists." Learn more by watching the full episode on Locals, or find only the first half on YouTube, Bitchute, or Odysee.
