Formerly gay Jim Doman, is now a husband (to a woman), father, and pastor.
Dr. J Show | June 19, 2024 - Jim Domen
Pastor Jim Domen is the founder of Church United and author of Breaking Sin's Grasp: Your Temptation Doesn't Define You, filled with stories of men and women who broke free from sinful lives.
Jim lived the gay lifestyle for five years, struggled with same-sex attraction most of his life, and has now been married to a woman for 15 years.
"What a contrast. Trying to make a same sex relationship work is a living hell. And then being married in God's design to my wife and having children? It's night versus day, good versus evil."
Jim embraced homosexuality because: "Sin is fun. That's why it's so alluring. It's a blast. It's like what you see on TV. There's no consequences. And then reality starts setting in. I realized I was so broken."
When Jim hit rock bottom, God reached out to him. "There was a battle for my soul. I still wanted to be gay... God began to heal and restore me. Reading His Word started washing me clean."
Jim shares why counseling freedom is essential and how it helped him realize that an absent father relationship is what caused him to sexualize male relationships when he reached puberty.
"Moms and Dads, don't give up on your kids. I don't know the time frame when God will answer your prayers, but I can encourage you that He is faithful."
Listen to the many ways Jim has been canceled for sharing his story by watching the full episode on Locals, or find the first part only on YouTube, Bitchute, or Odysee.
Fathers play a vital and irreplaceable role in the lives of their children. Sadly, this is often underestimated. Yet good fathers truly are the unsung heroes in our lives. They play a crucial role in providing stability, guidance, and nurturing for children, all of which are essential for healthy development.
Too many children grow up without the love and support of a good father, which can have significant impacts on their emotional and social development, academic performance, and overall well-being. They also play a crucial role in supporting sexual abuse survivors, a topic seldom discussed.
